Your housing is an important way of integrating into Salamanca and learning about daily Spanish culture. Semester students may choose to live with in a homestay or or in a dorm at the University of Salamanca. Full-year students may choose to go outside Program housing to find an apartment with Spanish students during the Spring semester.

 Homestays:

Host families are a great way of getting the insider’s point of view, learning about local customs and food and practicing your Spanish. You will have your own room in a family apartment within 15 – 30 minutes walk to the center of town. All homestays include 3 meals a day.

Prices and accomodation policy. Note:  GU students do not pay the accomodation management fee.  

 University Residence Halls:

This option has is open primarily for students who want to cook their own food. In the residence hall "Colegio de Cuenca," at a 20 minute walk to the center of town. You can choose between a single room with a shared kitchen or a single room with its own kitchenette (no ovens--only stovetops in both room options). Space in residence halls with meal plans is limited, and assignment is made strictly on the basis of availability.

Independent apartment living:

Available only to full-year students during their second semester in Salamanca.  

Program housing dates: 

The program provides housing only during the dates your program is in session. Students who arrive early or wish to prolong their stay are responsible for their own housing arrangements.
